The GECU Foundation supports our mission and purpose. Charitable donations are awarded to nonprofit organizations or to accredited higher-education institutions. All charitable contribution requests are evaluated on a quarterly basis and are approved by our board of directors.

  • Who does the GECU Foundation benefit?
    We support organizations in our communities that focus on core development issues that include savings mobilization, education, hunger, health, housing, transportation, employment, access to credit, appropriate technology, diversity and equity, inclusion, and environment.
  • How can our organization submit a request to receive charitable contribution support from the GECU Foundation?

  • What are the qualifications/guidelines to receive a grant?

  • What is the process for your charitable donation requests?
    Charitable contribution requests are evaluated by the executive director on a quarterly basis and presented to our board of directors for review and approval. 
  • How do I apply for scholarships from the GECU Foundation?
    We don’t directly award scholarships, we help fund scholarships through accredited education institutions such as the University of Texas at El Paso, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso and El Paso Community College. You can contact the school's scholarships office for more information.
