Welcome Home El Paso — a home loan assistance program

This program offers up to 5% of the amount of the home loan in assistance2 that you don’t have to pay back.

This home loan payment assistance is available for homes within El Paso, Texas, city limits.

Welcome Home El Paso is available for anyone buying a home in El Paso, Texas, who becomes a GECU member and meets the qualification requirements.
First-time Homebuyers Program

The First-time Homebuyers Program3 offers at least $1,000 and up to $35,000 that must be used for principal reduction.

The home must be within the city limits of El Paso, Texas, and the maximum sales price varies.

Buyers may get prequalified for a credit union home loan through a participating lender like us.

Applicants must complete a Financial Education and Homeownership course offered through our financial coaching program.

Additionally, you may also qualify for up to $5,000 in closing costs and down-payment assistance.

Applicants must have a minimum investment amount of $1,000 of their own funds.
